The Chronicle of Higher Education is a source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators.

Please bookmark this link for off-campus access: You'll need to authenticate using your Netpass username and password.

The website is updated daily, and the complete contents of the latest print issue are added to the website every Monday. The Ithaca College Library subscription entitles users to searchable archives of back issues and unlimited access to every news article and essay published by The Chronicle since 1989.

Other campuswide benefits include access to The Alamanac of Higher Education and facts and figures.


How do I access the current issue of The Chronicle? 
From the The Chronicle's homepage, hover over the News tab. Under More in News, click Current Issue. 

How can I search The Chronicle?
To search all of, use the search box in the upper right corner of the page.  

The search box allows you to search content from print issues published since 1989, online-only news updates, blogs, survey data, commentary, and recent job announcements. After your initial search, you can use filters to limit your results.

To search the archives, hover over the News tab. Under More in News, click Archives.

How can I comment on Chronicle articles and participate in discussion forums?
After accessing The Chronicle of Higher Education through the library, log in to your Chronicle account or create an account by clicking the Log In button in the upper right corner of the page.
