Book Search

Finding Books

Keyword searching works well for most topics, but if you retreive a lot of 'misses' instead of 'hits', try searching by AUTHOR or SUBJECT

By Author: To see which books the library own by a particular author, search last name, first name:
Calvino, Italo

By Subject: To find books about an author as well as criticism and interpretation, use a subject search.  For example:
Calvino, Italo--Criticism and interpretation.

Please note: In AUTHOR, TITLE and SUBJECT searches, word order is important, but punctuaion and capitalization  is not.  Write down the call number and use the WHERE button to find the corresponding stack number and floor.

Use an advanced search to select time period and region.

Finding DVDs

Use the library's FILM page to find dvds in our collection.
The search box at the top automatically limits results to films in our collection. Or if you prefer to browse, select a letter from the alphabetic list, check out our newest holdings, or pick a genre.  To find dvds about animals, try using the term ANIMALS or even the type of animal you're researching (horses, cats, dogs) into the search field provided.
