MATH 231: Linear Algebra

Journal articles are more focused than books and  can provide more specific information than books.  References to additional articles and books can be often be found in the bibliography located at the end of an article.

MathSciNet contains millions of items and direct links to original articles from over 1,800 journals. Bibliographic data from retrodigitized articles dates back to the early 1800s. Access to Mathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications from 1940 - present.
Tutorial: MathSciNet

An e-print service in the fields of physics, mathematics, non-linear science, computer science, and quantitative biology. Many of the papers are scheduled to be published in professional journals. Because papers are submitted and posted without peer review, the arXiv represents extremely up-to-date research. Materials are added on a daily basis.   All fulltext from 1991 to the present.

Full-text scientific, technological, medical journals; subjects covered include biology, biochemistry, business management and accounting, chemistry, computer science, economics, finance, environmental science, mathematics, medicine, neuroscience, nursing, physics, psychology, education, and communication. Includes access to selected full-text reference books. Indexing/Abstracts to additional titles.

Topic: Students conducting research on matrix decomposition  ( LU,QR,SVD- Singular Value Decomposition ) will find  wealth of  information . Once you identify and click on the link of an article that you feel will be useful for your research.

An educational database, but includes articles and documents related to math education.

JSTOR provides access to academic journals and primary sources in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.

Google Scholar
Links to peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports. Supports cited reference searching. Includes recent or unpublished work that hasn't yet been indexed. Includes links to full-text resources when available.

Online Reference

Reference resources, such as encyclopedias and dictionaries, define terms of unfamiliar jargon or provide background information, so they can be useful when trying to understand some scholarly or research articles. Here are a few of online reference sources available through the Ithaca College Library. Many more can be found in the library. Problem books
