    The full-text of the NY Times. Includes all images and advertising.  Search for names, events and concepts and view a summary of an article, a PDF image of the article or the entire page of the newspaper.
  • ScienceDirect -this database has many useful articles on a wide variety of business and economics topics which are scholarly in nature. It does not have current news and information on companies and industries. Use it when your professor tells you to find scholarly or peer-reviewed articles on a topic!
  • LexisNexis Academic
    Full-text access to continuously updated news, law, and business information. Highlights: News: newswires, transcripts, regional, national/international news, & Gallup Polls; Legal: law review articles, federal case law, and federal/state codes; Business: company profiles, country profiles, and SEC filings; People: directories from the entertainment industry, elected officials, executives, politicians, and obituaries.  Also has a section that includes full-text of several health newsletters and abstracts of articles in major medical journals.

Statistics and Analysis

  • Statista
    A statistics portal that provides data on over 80,000 topics from more than 10,000 different sources.  The content is purely aggregated statistics, geared towards business and marketing statistical needs, with a focus on current awareness.  Easy-to-use infographics and tables are available for download as images to insert into presentations.
  • Value Line Investment Survey
    Weekly stock reports about approximately 1,700 companies and 98 industries. Each company report contains a timeliness, safety, and technical ranking, current stock performance, beta, historical data for the previous 15 years, financial and stock price forecasts, and an analyst's written commentary.  Online: current quarter only.
  • Morningstar.com
    Stock and mutual fund research resource. Gives independent analysis and recommendations. Screening capability.
  • Simmons OneView
    Simmons OneView(formerly Simmons Choices3) provides access to U.S. adult (18+) consumer data on product and brand usage, spending behavior, media usage/habits, and more. It can be used to create custom reports which analyze demographic and/or psychographic characteristics of product users and their media behavior.  It allows cross tabulation of hundreds of consumer product categories and usage data for over 8,000 brands, inclusive consumer media habits, diverse demographic categories and psychographic (attitudinal and lifestyle) profiles.  It consists of three parts: National Consumer Study (NCS), National Hispanic Consumer Study (NHCS) and New Media. Most recent data available is at least two years old. Our license allows for five simultaneous users.
  • International Financial Statistics (International Monetary Fund)
    Time series data for major economic aggregates as well as current data on exchange rates, international liquidity, international banking, currency, interest rates, prices, production, trade, government accounts, GDP, and national accounts.
  • U.S. Census Bureau Choose Data, Data Tools and Apps.
  • Bureau of Economic Analysis, U.S. Department of Commerce
    Covers a wide variety of economic indicators at the national, international, regional and industry levels, including: Gross Domestic Product(GDP), Personal income, Balance of Trade, and an overview of the U.S. Economy.
  • Survey of Current Business
    Bureau of Economic Analysis monthly journal presents summary estimates and analyses of U.S. economic activity. Includes the "Business Situation," a review of recent economic developments, regular and special articles about the national, regional, and international economic accounts and related topics. Latest estimates of the national income and product accounts every month.
  • Business Data and Statistics from USA.gov
    Find data and statistics on banking, earnings, economic analysis, trade and more.

    Subscription website offering tutorials to a variety of software systems.  . All sorts of useful short videos which you can embed in Sakai and have your students watch to illustrate concepts or how to do a task such as MS-Excel. Sign in by putting in www.ithaca.edu, then your email address and password. You can alternatively sign in through myhome.ithaca.edu. Look on the lower left corner for Lynda.com
