The fine appeal form may be filled out if there is a discrepancy involving a library fine, fee, or replacement cost. Fines and fees are not waived due to:
- Lack of knowledge of library policy
- Non-agreement with library fine or fee structure
- Material loaned to another person
- Non-receipt or late receipt of library reminder notice
- Forgetting the due date
- Not being able to get to library to return the item
- Financial hardship
