iPad

Six-hour loan period, in-library use only.

Chargers

There is an iPhone and Android charging station located to the right of the quick print stations on the second floor. Phone charging cables and portable USB power supplies are available from the circulation desk.

Peripherals

We offer an analog-to-digital converter, which can digitize your old analog recordings and videos.

We also have headphones, headsets, freestanding microphones, web cams, CD/DVD drives, Blu-ray drives, calculators, a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, a projector, and a smartcard reader/writer.

Finally, you can check out USB flash drives. They’re not as much fun as an iPad, but they can be lifesavers when you need to save scans from a non-networked machine (like our color scanner/copier).

Microform Reader

There is a microform reader available to scan and digitize 16/35mm microfilm, fiche, ultra-fiche, opaque cards, and slides. Please ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk.

Blu-ray / DVD Players

There are two Blu-ray / DVD players available for checkout from the circulation desk; they require an external monitor. HDMI cables are also available at the circulation desk.

Public Computers in the Library

The library has over forty Windows workstations available for use by IC faculty, staff, and students. These are located all around the 2nd floor, along the north (lake) side of the 3rd floor, and in the alcove to the right of the multimedia desk. Desktops on the 3rd floor have CD drives. There are also eight iMac computers located on the 2nd floor. Software on these machines is listed below.

LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) offers video courses and tutorials on many of these software packages. These videos are free to the IC campus community.
