Borrowing from Other Libraries
Ithaca College students, staff, and faculty members are eligible to apply for a local resident library card. This card, which must be renewed annually, allows the holder to borrow circulating materials from any of the Cornell libraries. Borrowed items are subject to these loan periods and permissions.
Applications for the card should be made at the Cornell Library Public Services Office, Olin Library Room 116, Monday–Thursday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. At that time, Cornell will require Ithaca College patrons to verify their current status by logging into their IC library account. Ithaca College patrons must also present a current government-issued picture identification.
Cardholders from the Ithaca College community should communicate directly with the Cornell University Library about any account issues.
Cardholders can create an online Cornell Library account to verify item due dates and renew Cornell materials online. Overdue notices are sent by email.
Items borrowed from Cornell may be returned to the Ithaca College Library circulation desk or the Olin Library circulation desk. Items will not be checked in until they arrive at the owning institution.
Ithaca College students, staff, and faculty are eligible to apply for borrowing privileges at Wells College Library using their Ithaca College ID; users are verified through the IC directory.
Applications for borrowing privileges are processed at the Wells College Library, 170 Main St, Aurora, NY 13026, Monday–Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Ithaca College users may communicate directly with the Wells Library about policy or account questions. Items borrowed from the Wells College Library may be returned to the Ithaca College Library circulation desk. Items will not be checked in until they arrive at the owning institution.
